GIVE ME TWENTY MINUTES…

Well, it’s been a while since I last wrote.  Lots to tell, short time to tell it.  As I last wrote, I got a new dog, a male when my eye was on a female, that’s a whole different story!  It’s been good, though.  I know that I have a lot of work in the next year, but it’s fun, and challenging.  His personality is a lot like my first dog, Brando; which can be a lot of silliness!  So be it, in all of my time!

How about fitness?  What did you do today, yesterday, and what about tomorrow?  Do you have something planned?  Give a shout if there are questions.  That is really the most important factor, asking questions.  Somewhat recently, I met up with a couple, both trainers, she can cook, by the way, and he is a great guy.  We talked training for hours, and I took a 2 hour “core” class, that I learned some cool stuff from.  I told her, ” I just took that from you”!  She laughed, and told me to take what I need.  So my point is, ask questions, learn stuff; even if it seems elementary.  Nothing is “too” small.  We all can learn something; there is no pride in this game of feeling well.  Not in my book. 

Through the years, research changes.  It does with every field.  Do you think that you don’t have time to work out?  How about 15-18 minutes, in your house?  Not a lot of time; no driving, 20 minutes you’re done.  That’s what I do, pretty much.  You basically do set after set, with no rest.  Or give yourself a little break, like 60 seconds, but then keep going.  Listen to your body.  What I mean by that is, don’t OVERDO what you can do, in correct form;  your endurance, and strength will come.  That’s where it falls, today.  Short circuits, minimal rest, and you’ll find out how good you will feel. 

I think everyone stresses over the time thing.  You don’t need to think that way.  You can do things with a little variation, from exercises you’ve done in the past; like little instability footings.  Balls, pads, or you can li9ft one leg; you then start to engage your core; so it’s much more than a specific movement.  If any of this confusing wording confuses you, ask me!  On this site, on facebook, or on my email, ask ask, ask!!!  I can’t go any deeper than that, just ask.

That’s all we have for now, short on time, but had to get back on the board!  Just remember, make the workout short, but make it efficient.  Keep your heart rate in your training zone: here’s the formula;  220-your age= your maximum heart rate (mhr), then go 65%-85% of your (mhr), and your burning fat!  How cool is that?  Eat withen (1) hour with 25-30 grams of protein, (protein, by definition is a builder/rebuilder), and your body will start to change.
