• HAPPY TO BE THERE….

I love finding things that make so much sense to me, literal or common sense.  We’ve all been there, but here’s my version of how I recognize these motivational instances.  NOW.  I know, I’ve said this before, probably more than you really want to hear, but that’s why I say it. To me, it’s really important:  NOW.  It just means that you’re staying alive; every minute, every second of the day, day after day.  Think about this, what makes you happy?  “I’ll be happy when…when I get money, when I get a Rolls Royce, when I get this job”.  Let me tell you how I see it; you never get…

  • MONDAY, MONDAY…la la

I love Mondays, to me, it’s the most beautiful day of the week.  You guys DO agree with me, right?  Sometimes I hear people say that Mondays are bad;  first work day of the week, got four(or five) more to go, don’t like my job, I have to do this on Tuesday, and that on Wednesday…..OK!  OK!.  How I know this is cliche, but it could be worse.  For every “bad” day, there will always be a positive to that day.  Ok, on Mondays, that “bad” day, you woke up.  How great is that? This past week, a  32 year old, with a wife, and a child, went to bed,…

  • THAT WAS THEN…

I’m hoping that your New Year’s resolution, (January), is ROCKIN’!  All of those “after Christmas” remarks; how are they hanging?  Nothing standing in our way?  Remember, no excuses, right?  It doesn’t matter what you promised yourself, that just happens to be your goal.  Keep in mind that you are you, remember how we talked about that before?  Please, please, please, don’t rely on someone else to give you approval for YOUR goals, these are your goals.  Whatever they are.  Try to remember one thing, “That was then, this is NOW!”.  We’ve heard this a million times in our past, but really look at it.  This is NOW.  No other way…

  • WE’RE OUTTA HERE! (2013…)

Blues song; so what is constant with “black”, (last name);  four wheeled carriage, (first name).  Think about it.  So, what else have you been thinking about?  A great fitness plan?  A dynamite juice plan?  An incredible smoothie recipe, or several of them?  Just wait, I’ll tell you more, later.  It’ll be a secret right now.  (Don’t you love that?). I’m assuming that everyone had a GREAT Christmas, and New Years.  I did.  I went to spend the holidays with my family, and had a great time throughout the whole time there; Las Vegas of all places!  Most of the time, I spent with my parents.  I feel very blessed and…

  • CHANGE is gonna come…

The singer, the singer!  Come on, somebody knows who sings this blues song. Bring it back to me! BLUES SONG: a modulation in jazz; depressed spirits, melancholy;  torch song.  DEPRESSED SPIRITS!#*, maybe that leads on to change; it should, don’t you think?  Do you ever think about change in your life, your experiences, your beliefs?  It happens, every day.  All it takes is observation, knowing your moment in time is “now”.  Don’t worry, I’m not going off on the deep end here, I’m just telling you to open yourself up, and let things in, in your life.  Do we all believe that somewhere, in this day today, there might be…

  • HAPPY TURKEY DAY(s)…

To everyone: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  It’s a great day, isn’t it?  I mean, you can eat an overload of food, feel terrible, but not feel guilty, right?  I mean, that’s expected from everyone.  Most people do; I’m just not the one who wants to feel terrible.  Oh, trust me, it has happened many, many times, and then I say, “I’ll never….”.  I even went on the bandwagon of only wanting “white” meat, because it’s got more protein.  That isn’t exactly right; well, it is, to a point.  A piece of white meat has only got about 2-3 grams of protein more than dark meat; but really, what’s the point?  If you’re…

  • GRACE…

I don’t know what to start with, here, but the word “GRACE” sticks in my mind.            GRACE: n/4. favor or goodwill; 5. manifestation of favor, especially by a superior; 6.mercy. Hard word to use, when I have so much warm thoughts to all of my relatives, cousins aunts, uncles, and friends who live in Washington, Illinois; and East Peoria, Illinois.  I will start with the sadness of family and friends who lost a family member during this past tornado, this past Sunday.  It’s unexpected, and sudden.  Everything in pictures, and videos, describe destruction.  View any pictures, and videos yourselves,  in the past couple of days, I’m sure that you will…

  • RELAX…ahhhhhh

Who juiced today?  How was your training today, or yesterday; and how will it be tomorrow?  Just little reminders. What time did you get up today?  Four, five?  Did you give me the ten minutes that we talked about last time?  How about 10 minutes this time around; if you have stairs, 1) walk up and down them, 2) get down on the floor and give me five push-ups, (if you need to have your knees on the floor for your push-ups, that’s ok!).  Repeat this complete routine for ten minutes; that’s all!  Zero, zip, naata more! You’re done.  If you don’t have stairs, think about twenty stairs, and bring…

  • STORMY MONDAY (are you blues?)

Was it E.C., (Eric Clapton)?  Allman Brothers Band?  Who penned “Stormy Monday”?  B.B. King?  Come on, now, STORMY MONDAY!  How about you, did you?  How is your Monday?  Did you look forward to it; was your weekend long enough; ready to go back to “work”?  Bottom line; I am.  I LOVE  Mondays!  I’ll give you an idea why; I work with people, all kinds, in a lot of different ways.  Starts with fitness; 6:30 (that’s am, folks!), I work with some pretty dedicated people.  Some might say, “Who would work out at 6:30 am, with a smile on their face, (I don’t know, maybe it’s a grimace!)?  My answer would…

  • FREE…

Aren’t birthdays great?  I wrote a message Wednesday, (9/18) thanking everyone involved in such remarkable comments.  They all meant A LOT to me!  I’m thanking again, for some that might have missed that message. Didn’t we all, at some age, maybe mid-30s or so, start to think about those birthdays; how another year just flew by, and here is the next birthday!  I say, bring it on!  I love these days, birthdays and all.  I say look at the responses I got; close to 50 or so, and really, that’s the kindness of people, because I haven’t seen a lot of you guys in years!  Unbelievable. Having said that, I…
